About The Blog

This is an experiment to get me writing more, and an effort to slightly shift the ratio of how much meaningful content I produce to how much I consume.

I enjoy reading and discussing anything under the umbrella of technology, product management & strategy – which is what this blog will be most focused on. However I do have other interests, so you can understand if I tangent into anything ranging from gaming to the creative arts, or life itself.

When it comes to the craft of product management, I do feel the urge to share the learnings from my journey along this winding path, with the hopes that I can contribute back to the ever evolving practice.

The cadence will vary.

Google Stadia – A Ship That Is Sinking Or Slowly Pivoting?

Google Stadia has faced some big setbacks over the last year, closing its internal game studios and suffering poor engagement. I reflected on some key takeaways from this experience, the challenges in building a AAA studio and building up the flywheel for a game streaming platform.

About Me

I live and work in Toronto, where I completed my higher studies and started my career. I grew up in the UAE prior to that.

I am currently managing product at Docker, learning how we can empower developers to build and bring their ideas to life. Previously Product @ Capital One, and an early member/First Product manager @ OneLocal (YC S17)

I’m a product person who gets excited about enabling other builders and creators to do their best work. I’ve driven outsized product outcomes across startup, scaleup, and enterprise organizations spanning FinTech, SaaS Marketing, and Developer Experience. I’ve also proudly accumulated some nice swag along the way (lego, slippers, plush toys, and many mugs and sweaters).

But what really drives me is supporting the humans who make stuff—developers, small business owners, content creators, designers, animators. Always interested in talking product craft and solving problems that help builders and creators do what they do best.

When not working I split my time exploring the local music scene, the Canadian wilderness, reading about world history and the ever changing technology landscape.
